Community at High-Traffic Intersection Gets Update

Sunrise Senior Living manages more than 300 senior care communities throughout the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The company provides full-service care for the aging population, including services for assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation, and more.

The Problem

Sunrise at Cherry Creek sits at a bustling intersection of Cherry Creek, Colorado, a high-end, Denver suburb. The community is visible from the road, as thousands of Denver area residents pass by the community each day. Construction in the area had recently increased as new businesses, restaurants, and residential sites were erected. As these buildings were created, it became evident Cherry Creek required some updating to make the community look fresh and to align with the new, local design.

The Solution

Ricky Lee, Regional Director of Facilities at Sunrise Senior Living, had worked with Jeremy Willey, Sales Manager at Renovia, on projects in the past, with outstanding results. Lee contacted Renovia to begin the process of repainting Cherry Creek.

Successfully completing the project required several considerations, including:

Renovia’s first step was to compile drawings and potential color schemes for the community’s new look. A two-tone concept was suggested to blend in well with other nearby structures. Cherry Creek’s management signed off on the design and shared the changes with the community’s residents. After securing the proper permits from the city and hiring an outside company to manage road closures, work commenced on the project.

Renovia also worked with Cherry Creek to ensure letters were sent to each resident of the community to inform them of the project. Representatives took time to walk through the buildings and speak with residents individually to allay any concerns, and to offer tips for minimizing the disruption. For example, most work was completed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Renovia suggested residents keep their blinds closed during that time to maximize privacy.

Weekly safety meetings were held to keep staff apprised of areas of concern, and weekly updates were sent to all parties to communicate project status and timelines for completion.

The Outcome

The Cherry Creek project was completed on time, just three months after kick-off. All aspects of the project went smoothly. The community now boasts a stylish and exciting new exterior that flows well with other local architecture. Residents were pleased with the minimal disruption to their daily lives and impressed with the speed and professionalism of the Renovia team.

“I’ve now worked with Jeremy and the Renovia team several times, and each project has been an absolute success,” said Lee. “They meet budgets and timelines, are exceptional communicators, and the quality of the work is fantastic.”
